I have not put a list of fellowships here on purpose. Named programs open and close, and a list like that goes stale quietly — which is worse than no list at all, because it sends you after money that is not there anymore.
What holds: your campus fellowship office knows about internal money that is never advertised. Ask your graduate coordinator, in plain words, what your own department can fund. Ask the people a few years ahead of you what they applied for. And apply for things you are fairly sure you will not get, because the people who tell you they never do that are not telling you the truth.

Office hours are not only for emergencies; going once, early, with an ordinary question is how most people build the relationships that later write their letters. Archives are not gated by pedigree — a short, polite email saying who you are and what you are looking for is the whole ritual. Say plainly what you want; the people who seem to move easily through this are mostly just asking directly.
And keep the people who help you. Almost none of this is written down anywhere. It is passed hand to hand, which is the only reason this page exists.
